The technical and engineering workgroup of Iran national science foundation has recently confirmed the support of 19 research projects in this area, which will be soon implemented.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the technical and engineering workgroup of Iran national science foundation evaluated research projects of Iranian researchers in its last meeting. During this event, professors from other provinces were contacted through Skype, assessing 63 projects and determining support for 19 projects. Some of the achievements of these projects include article to be presented in seminars and conferences, production of sample and creation of technical device and knowledge.

The technical and engineering workgroup is one of the active and successful specialized workgroups of the foundation, established since 2005. This research workgroup determines the priorities of the foundation according to higher-level documents and needs of the country and evaluates research projects with technical and engineering topics. In addition, members of this workgroup are among the most prominent professors and faculty members of top universities of the country in fields of electrical engineering, chemical engineering, environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, metallurgy engineering, industrial engineering, civil engineering and computer engineering. Aerospace, civil engineering and transportation, energy and technologies of engineering of production are some of the research priorities of the workgroup.
