10 priorities of water supply technological projects are determined to eliminate water problems by the water working group of water, drought, erosion and environment development headquarter.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the level of coverage of technology development at local, national, regional and international levels and presence of the capacities required to develop technology with an emphasis on less-privileged areas are among the priorities expressed for water supply technologies projects.

Other issues defined in eliminating problems in water area to supply healthy water include time-consuming nature of technology development, possibility of attracting financial support from various resources with the priority of the private sector, and the level of effectiveness of technology development in improvement of productivity and level of investment required.

Topics such as social benefits of technology development, presence of necessities and support policies in higher-level documents and possibility of access to basic information and statistics are defined in the priorities of the technological projects in water field.

These 10 priorities were approved by the water working group regarding the prioritization indexes and discussions in this field.

During the strategic committee of water working group of water, drought, erosion and environment development headquarter, Porhemat, secretary of the water working group, explained about the importance of determining indexes for prioritization of topics of technological projects on water supply and prioritization of national measures and strategies of “strategic document for development of technologies of water, drought, erosion and environment. In addition, members of the working group evaluated the prioritization of strategies and national measures of the mentioned document.
