Opening an Innovation Center; DAYHIM Innovation Factory Is Opened
“DAYHIM Innovation Factory” is opened in the presence of Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs. An abandoned and unused place that has now become a center for the cultivation of ideas to accelerate technological activities in the first phase with the activities of about 50 knowledge-based companies.
The center has 17 hectares and has been opened with the support of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs. A private center of technological activists of the field has been established in the region since 2016 and has proposed the formation of an innovation and acceleration factory.
The center has been exploited and the technological cores and companies are registering for the center. The sheds of this center have been built in an area of 60,000 meters. There is also a 12,000-meter foundation ready for the construction of new sheds on the lands of the DAYHIM Innovation and Acceleration Factory.
Opening an Innovation Center at the Heart of a Closed Factory
There used to be a lumber factory on the site before being closed in 2010. Its founders decided to turn the place into an innovation and acceleration factory. This innovation factory specializes in agriculture and commercialization of knowledge-based and technology products in this field. Four universities are located in the neighboring areas of this innovation factory, which has provided a suitable platform for providing technological human resources.
DAYHIM Innovation Factory is located in Pakdasht region and will be used by two million people living around the factory. Livestock and poultry, intelligent agricultural machinery, IoT with a focus on agriculture and agricultural robots are some of the areas in which the technology teams based in this center work.
Toxins and Seeds
A permanent exhibition will be established in the innovation factory to showcase the products of the companies. The center also devotes part of its activities to research on technologies related to agricultural pesticides and seeds. Four sheds are also dedicated to the opening of the production line and assembly of products. The area of special production sheds is 30,000 meters.
Establishment of a Workshop
In addition, workshops such as blacksmithing workshops will be established in this center. In the third phase of development, two hectares of factory land will be allocated for greenhouse cultivation.
The initial phase of the DAYHIM Innovation Factory has been set up with an investment of 25 billion Rials. The plant's founders announced setting up a specialized fund to provide financial support to established teams.
Over the past six years, the Vice-Presidency has established hundreds of similar innovation and acceleration centers and science and technology parks across the country.
