With the Support of the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology Affairs;

“Alba” will be the host of Iranian researchers.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Reza Asadi Far, director of the laboratory network of strategic technologies, expressed an applicable contract was concluded between Iran and Alba laboratory in Spain, so that Iranian researchers and scientists could benefit from advanced laboratories. He stated: according to this contract, synchrotron radiation can be used by Iranian users to perform various studies in fields of physics, chemistry, materials science, medicine, biology, archeology, and environment.

He continued: signing a contract between the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs and Alba laboratory and institute for research in fundamental sciences will be associated with financially supporting this collaboration with Alba laboratory.

According to Asadi Far, a great number of labs, which are members of laboratory network of strategic technologies, provide services for Iranian user. He also added: all of these users can apply the synchrotron accelerator, which is similar to the one in Alba laboratory, to perform advanced tests that cannot be conducted in small labs.

Director of the laboratory network of strategic technologies pointed out that more than one million lab services are provided for 330 labs, which are members of this network and include academic centers, research institutes and knowledge-based companies. He also asserted: today, 31 X-ray Fluorescence labs, 68 X-Ray Diffraction Analysis labs, 16 transmission electron microscopy laboratory labs, 61 scanning electron microscopy labs, 100 infrared labs, 2 small angle X-ray scattering labs, 1 X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy lab and many other laboratories are providing services to Iranian professors, researchers and students in other fields.


Furthermore, Asadi Far emphasized the importance of benefiting from facilities of Alba laboratory by Iranian researchers, scientists and technologists, marking: a significant part of these users are from different industries of the country, including steel, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, energy, food and cosmetics.
