Advanced technologies of Iranian made equipment accelerated the research in the pre-clinical field.

The comprehensive pre-clinical laboratory of Tehran University of Medical Sciences has been equipped with advanced equipment by the efforts of knowledge-based companies. This equipment was on the list of sanctions goods, but this technological measure led to the acceleration of growth path of research in this field.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, two years ago on this day, the comprehensive pre-clinical laboratory of Tehran University of Medical Sciences was inaugurated by Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs.

This laboratory is an example of a center that showcases the ability of researchers and the youth of this land. All equipment and tools of this center has been produced by knowledge-based companies that have put steps on the path of improvement and construction of Iran. The center is equipped with eight high-tech devices, including micro-CT, Microchat, Gama camera imaging, 3D optical imaging, and Micro-SPECT. All of these are devices on the list of sanctions, and there would be no improvement in the area of pre-clinical research without the help of the domestic technologists.

Given the importance of pre-clinical studies and lack of required equipment for conducting research, the pre-clinical laboratory was established in 2017 by the support of the Vice-Presidency to provide this type of services to researchers of the company with these equipment devices.
