Domestic researchers of Iran have been able to design and create space simulator, which ranked second in the international festival of Kharazmi as the applicable research of aerospace expert group.
According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, three systems of thermal vacuum chamber test simulator were designed and produced in the project of space simulator. Volume of one of these systems was about 14 M³ and the other two had a volume of 1.5 M³. These systems have a shield and a space for placing the parts. In addition, temperature of these systems is controlled through infrared heat lamps and liquid nitrogen. Moreover, a large solar simulator with radiation diameter of one meter and power density of 1400 watts per square meter was manufactured.
The system has flanges and electrical fittings and all parts of this system are monitored by Lab view software.
Space simulator was designed and created in Shahid Beheshti University and was ranked second among applicable studies of aerospace expert group in the international festival of Kharazmi.
This design was confirmed in Shahid Beheshti University with the aid of ministry of communications and information technology, Iranian space agency and space research institute.
Space simulator is a system that tries to simulate the outer space or a feeling of flying in an aerospace as real as possible. This system has a simulating room placed on hydraulic RAM, controlled by computers, special water source to simulate weightlessness and devices that are used to study physics and space environment.
