In the Form of a National Technology Master Plan;

More than 20 projects in the field of health were supported by the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs in the past year.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, research, identification and active participation in the field of designing national technology and innovation master plans are being followed up with the cooperation of related organizations and units based on the essential and strategic needs and priorities of the country. 

In fact, those projects that are supported by the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs are technological, knowledge-based projects that can be commercialized and their implementation require the wide participation of many players in this field to respond to the strategic and essential needs of the country.  Support of these projects is one of the important tools for achieving knowledge-based economy with regard to their impacts on production, self-sufficiency and employment.

Meanwhile, support of the defined projects in the field of health by the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs is one of the most important measures taken by the center of national technology macro plans. In the past year, we were able to support 12 projects in this field.

Some of the supported projects in 2016 included equipping and establishing screening center for neonatal metabolic diseases, production of fly larvae for diabetic ulcers, production of the raw material of Sofosbuvir medication, manufacturing of five combination therapy devices, manufacturing of five 12-channel electrocardiographs, forceps for tissue biopsy, industrial production of raw material of Adapalen medication and production of widely used testing and calibration devices in the field of medical equipment. 

Some of the other technology macro plans supported by the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs in the last year were construction of Paravak neural prosthesis system, construction of portable oxygen-generating device for home, design and production of vital signs device with the ability to switch to hospital PACS system, tomography device with positron emission for imaging of small animals, 64-channel EEG monitoring device equipped with nerve function monitoring system and construction of single-channel portable ECG device.
