Evaluation of the Role of Various Governments in the Development of Creative and Cultural Industries

The role of governments in the development of creative and cultural industries will be evaluated in the form of a case study by assessing the countries of South Korea, China, and Turkey in a book published by soft and identity-making technology development headquarter.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, this is a 60-year journey from the culture industry to the cultural industries, leading to creative industries at the end. The main theme of this journey is conflict between culture and economy, which is at the heart of this terminology. This is not the only issue of art and market.

Market for cultural products has been regarded as an important issue over the years and is one of the main concerns of any artist. In this century, production of cultural goods has been accelerated by reproduction technologies, increasingly turning these products into capital.

Production of goods is not similar to investment; the former has an ancient history, whereas the latter has been formed in Europe only 500 years ago. The spirit of investment is summarized in the principle of unlimited accumulation for the cost of all other values.

While art or culture has always been a limitation or an objection to this principle, they have been turned into issues for which these investment principles are used…

The above context is a part of the book of “evaluation of the role of government on the development of cultural creative industries”, which evaluated the countries of South Korea, China, and Turkey. In this section, a theory by OConnor (2010) is presented from industry and culture interaction to creative industries.

In this book, the theoretical framework of the research, familiarization with the literature of cultural industries, and cultural industries in South Korea, Turkey, and China were assessed and policies for cultural industries of Iran were recommended.

The book of “evaluation of the role of government on the development of cultural creative industries”, conducted to evaluate the countries of South Korea, China and Turkey, was compiled by Esmail Abdi, Maryam Mahmoudi, Ali Asghar Sadabadi and Zahra Abolhasani and published by the soft and identity-making technology development headquarter.
