The tenth edition of Saramad monthly magazine was published in Iran with lots of interesting interviews and essays by the Iranian elites and prominent figures.

According to a report by the public relations and information center of the scientific and technological department of presidential office, usually the skilled media people say that a newspaper reaches its maturity when it reaches the 100th edition and a monthly reaches the same stage when it reaches the 10th edition. Considering this issue that in the current conditions, digitalization of media and different concerns about publishing a paper media, going towards a written monthly needs a lot of support and bravery, the 10th edition of ‘Saramad’ is a special media event at least in the (Iranian) year of 1394 (which starts on March 21) in the field of elites and academics.

In the last days of the month of Esfand (which ends on March 20) 1393, the 10th edition of the news, scientific, educational and analytical Saramad monthly owned by the National Elites Foundation is experiencing its presence among the media and the cultural and scientific centers. The edition which can be said is on the peak of its maturity during its publication. This edition of Saramad has published valuable issues which can occupy some hours of Norouz holidays.

Interview with Iranian Vice-President for Science and Technology and Head of the National Elites Foundation Dr. Sorena Sattari who rarely interviews with the media exclusively is one of the good and reading-worth issues of the 10th Saramad. Speaking frankly but intimately, he has again spoken about research, and said, “The biggest problem that we see in the country’s research sector and I have said it many times is that I have reached this conclusion during the past year that our research doesn’t have any customer. We are not entitled to make a hypothetical customer which is usually a foreign journal and tell it ok you can take it…”

Also Editor-in-Chief of the monthly Parviz Karami has proposed in this edition of Saramad’s “the first word” which has been published under the title of “Science and Technology Spring” has proposed that “In the new year, we should distant from the cold and gloomy oil-oriented economy and utter new words in the spring of knowledge-based economy and take new steps.”

The 10th edition of Saramad in an essay titled “a logical word” has presented a summary of the Iranian scientific elites’ views. Dr. Nasser Aqdami, the head of the center for cell-therapy of Royan institute, Dr Seyed Kazzem Alavipanah, the professor on studying soils, Dr. Ali Akbar Moussavi Movahedi, biophysics professor, Dr. Sadeq Ayeenehvand, the history professor, Dr. Hassan Zohour, the founder of Payam-e Nour University, Dr. Alireza  Foroumadi, the top pharmacist, Dr. Karim Mojtahedi, the philosophy professor, Dr. Asqar Aqamohammadi, the head of the center for research on children’s deficiency in immunity system and Dr. Mehdi Golshani, the prominent physics professor, are among the elites whose views have been published in this edition of Saramad.

A review of the most important scientific events of the 1393, is among the attractive reports of this edition of Saramad which shows the exact date of achieving this technology and undoubtedly, it will provoke the Iranian pride.

Marziyeh Boroumand is also among the artists that one can know her personality well from her artworks. The winner of Allameh Tabatabayee prize has said that “I am not an elite filmmaker” which shows her being elite. She believes that “I don’t even one moment think that I can live somewhere other than Iran. Because I am alive with my audience. My need to the audience is the audience’s need to me. I cannot meet this need to any other place in the world. She has also spoken of difficulties of her famous “Shahr-e Moushha (the Mice City)” movie.

Also among the other attractive interviews of this edition of Saramad, we can mention the interview with the writer of “Majid Stories” book, Houshang Moradi Kermani. The title of the interview is also nice: “I learned story writing from my mom and dad”. In a part of the interview we read: “I firstly write crazily and then I go to my writings like an editor. This is why most of my writings don’t have so much for omitting and this is a point I learned from cinema.”

Another attractive interview of the 10th Saramad is about Ali Akbar Sadeqi, a prominent painter of the contemporary Iran. He has uttered many nice words in the interview. For instance he says: “No one can compensate for the things that his/her homeland has given him/her. He/she should try to love his/her homeland while he/she is alive and introduce it to all. This is our responsibility.”

Parviz Kordavani, the father of Iran’s desert studies, has also spoken in this edition of Saramad. A part of interesting words of this edition says: “My wife has written 22 books but I don’t read novel. I cannot read at all. I read the classic literature. I have never read any novel through my life. I believe that when a person becomes a professor, he/she should focus on his/her course of study. They say you should read novel for your brain. My age doesn’t allow my brain to become better!”

Also reading an interview with a prominent professor of literature is valuable for reading; professor Hassan Anousheh, one of Iran’s Persian encyclopedia writers. He has said in his interview with Saramad that “In our time the problems had another shape and these days they are different. When we were students and didn’t have money, we could sleep in the street. But now, if a student wants to do the same job, they call him a homeless!”

The tenth Saramad also has other issues, essays and reports with different subjects related to the field of elites any of them are worth reading. Therefore, we can consider Saramad monthly as a strong magazine in the country’s media arena.

The 10th edition of the news, scientific, educational and analytical Saramad monthly, special for Norouz 1394, owned by the National Elites Foundation, Sorena Sattari as its managing-director and Parviz Karami as its editor-in-chief is now available in 132 pages.
